GORDON R KERR & ASSOC

NEW LEASE OF LIFE FOR TOWNHOUSE IN WOODBRIDGE......................................................................

* Existing coverings to principal roof stripped off and replaced with new natural slate to match, along with

   milled lead sheet flashings throughout

* New conservation rooflights introduce top lighting to the top stair landing and Dressing Room within the

  Master Bedroom

* The rear elevation is made weatherproof ahead of dropping the rear scaffolding to allow the construction

  of the new rear extension

* Several unsuccessful attempts were made by 'specialist suppliers' to provide acceptable pointing to the

rear elevation, the solution eventually being provided by the Building Contractor using slightly recessed joints

in order to maintain the visibility of the brick profiles and a combination of locally sourced materials and post

  application colouring down

* A conscious decision was taken not clean the brickwork to the elevations, in order to minimise the risk of

damage and in the interests of visual harmony with immediate neighbours - the new repairs and

   reinstatement works are purposely expressed

New roof coverings and conservation rooflights installed

Rear elevation closed in and re-pointed at upper levels

Guaged brick window head reinstated to front elevation
